The Space:
We aimed to make this a space we would want to stay in ourselves, so we tried to make it feel homey, have the little things one would need on an away trip, and have a welcoming atmosphere.
We kept lighting in mind and have given you options to tailor the feel of the home in the daytime as well as evenings with lamps and dimmable lights throughout the home, and exclusively using warm bulbs in the lamps, in addition to the ample natural light in each room.
The Bathroom:
This original early 1900s bathroom has a cast iron tub, toiletries just in case, a hair dryer, first aid kit, and fluffy towels.
The Kitchen;
You will find some staples in the pantry, a wide selection of spices, all the cookware you need to make a delicious meal, and even tin foil, Tupperware, and plastic wrap for storing leftover fruits of your labor!
This brand new kitchen is well appointed so you can expect the basics + extras. Breakfast is provided primarily in the form of oatmeal with brown sugar, pancakes with real maple syrup, and anything else you might like from the pantry.
You will find the trash and recycle under the kitchen sink. The coffee bar is located next to the microwave with sugar, monk fruit sugar substitute, honey, various flavors of creamer, and teas. In the cupboard just above it you will find the French press, coffee grinder, and electric kettle, along with the toaster.
Silverware is in the drawer to the right of the sink and just under that you will find dish towels, a drying rack for hand washing, and placemats for the table.
The Living Room:
This room features a large TV enabled with Amazon Fire Stick, a good selection of games, and a cozy couch for movie nights.
On the TV console you will find the portable speaker.
The living room also offers the main AC for the home. If you leave the bedroom doors open it will even cool them down as well.
The King Bedroom:
This bedroom features a slightly firm king sized mattress with a soft memory foam and down topper so you sink right in while still feeling supported throughout the night. There are 2 king sized pillows, 2 standard sized pillows, and a down comforter.
There are two closets with plenty of storage space and a 72" dresser. Atop the dresser you will find a 50" smart TV ready to meet your streaming desires. The window above the bed looks into a beautiful canopy of trees.
The king bedroom also has its own AC.
The Blue Bedroom:
This bedroom features a brand new Sealy mattress that I loved so much I ended up buying one for myself! The combination of springs wrapped in cloud like comfort make this bed hard to get out of in the mornings. There are 4 standard pillows and a down comforter.
This room features a closet and ample shelving space with baskets for storage.
This room has a powerful oscillating fan for hot nights or soothing sounds. It can be found in the closet.
The Red/Cream Bedroom:
This bedroom features a memory foam mattress with a pillow top topper. It offers more support than the Blue Bedroom mattress, similar to the King Bedroom mattress. It has 4 standard pillows and a down comforter.
This room features ample closet space and 2 windows that look into greenery.
This room has two small fans that sit atop the nightstands for warm evenings or soothing sounds. They can be found in the closet.
Laundry:
Laundry is located down a flight of stairs in the basement. The basement is currently being finished but it is well lit!
