The ponderosa forests and mountain views are spectacular at Black Butte Ranch and the range of activities is amazing. A good place to start is the Glaze Meadow Rec Center which is a 5 minute bike ride or a 15 minute walk from the house. Here you have indoor and outdoor swimming pools, hot tub, steam room, yoga studio, exercise equipment, tennis and pickle ball courts, a bike shop for rentals and repairs in addition to a Resort Shop with sports apparel and equipment. Just up the street is the pro shop for one of the two 18 hole championship golf courses on the ranch. Head over to the Lakeside Center for some paddle boarding or try your hand at fly fishing (some of the best fly fishing in the state is just off the ranch on the Metolius River). Don't forget to stop by the horse stables on the edge of Big Meadow to check into a ride. And probably one of the best features of the ranch are the 18 miles of paved bike paths that wind throughout the entire ranch. If you feel like spreading your wings there are numerous hiking trails, lakes, rivers, other golf courses and of course Hoodoo Ski Resort all within 30 minutes. And last but not least is the little western themed town of Sisters that provides many shopping and dining options plus several great community events throughout the year.
The house is your hub for all this activity or your escape for enjoying the peace and quiet of the ponderosa forest and the central Oregon clean air. The house is well equipped with everything you need including a gourmet kitchen stocked with many of the staples and spices you may need and a full range of cookware. The kitchen adjoins the great room which includes a dining area, wet bar and general living area with a variety of comfortable seating. The great room has surround sound for both the big screen TV and music.
The house has two master suites, one with a king bed and en suite bath that includes a soaking tub and separate walk-in shower. The other master suite has a queen bed and a full en suite bath. Both of the masters are on the second floor and are separated by a loft seating area for reading, conversation or games. The loft includes a queen sized sofa bed.
The other two bedrooms are on the first floor and include a queen bed in one and four bunk beds in the other, These bedrooms share a jack and jill full sized bathroom.
The large deck off the great room has a gas BBQ with outdoor seating for dining and lounging...and don't miss the hammock tied between the two big ponderosa trees just off the deck.
The oversized two car garage has plenty of room for the ping pong table, a dart board and still enough room to park a car and store your bikes. There is parking for three additional vehicles on the driveway.
