We love our bach and we love the beach, but if we cant be there, we want you to enjoy it too.
Our bach is not too big and not too small, it can easily cater for two families to stay together. In total a maximum of 4 adults and 4 children. Located at the end of a quiet cul de sac, we get all day sun and are perfectly sheltered from the wind by the great Pio hill with the fancy mansions on it.
Master bedroom has a walk through wardrobe to the en suite. We have a modern kitchen, two living areas and toilets and showers galore.
Internal access double garage is now an awesome kids zone, with freeview TV, DVD, 1 bunk bed, 1 queen bed, lounge suits, fridge freezer, carpet on the floor and even its own toilet, shower. Kids at one end of the house, adults at the other end of the house…perfect!
3.5 minute stroll across the sand dune path, or through the park to beautiful sandy, surf beach patrolled by surf life guards during summer. 7 minute walk to the lovely, sheltered and safe swimming, Anzac Bay.
Plenty for the kids to do, with handy playground, tennis and basket ball courts, BMX track, fishing jetty, mussels off the rocks, sliding down the grassy hills on a piece of cardboard or beach cricket.
Walk to the nearby historic Maori Pa site overlooking the notorious Bowentown bar (not a pub), meander down to Cave Bay or walk the bush track to the beautiful and secluded Shelley Bay for a picnic.
There are 2 boat ramps close by for great fishing or water sports.10 minute’s drive to Waihi Beach town offers a supermarket, boutique, hardware, fishing and sports shops and delicious cafes. There is even a church, if you need to pray for even more great weather. Hot pools are also located at Athenree and Katikati.
Waihi Beach is the gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula, with stunning walkways and cycle tracks in the Karangahake Gorge.
Use our kayaks and life jackets for a paddle from Anzac Bay around to Athenree.
