Summary: Where do I begin? First impression - there was some construction that was not mentioned when we booked our room. There was no cover for the entrance pick up & drop off. When I walked into the lobby, I was impressed with how clean it looked and smelled. The front desk clerk then told me I need to make a $30 payment for incidentals. This wouldn't have been a concern, but again, I am disappointed this wasn't mentioned when making our reservation. Also, we weren't sure what the incidentals were, so we didn't use any of the soaps coffee, etc. that was in the room. I admit that I have never had to pay for those things when staying in any motel, but at this point I was beginning to question many things. As I stated prior, the lobby smelled fresh & clean. But, when we stepped off the elevator on the 3rd we were met with a sour, foul stench. When we entered the room, the unpleasant smell was magnified. The a/c didn't even seem to help much. When we investigated the room trying to find the source of the stench, we discovered the room wasn't as clean as it should be and seemed to just have had a half-a** job. The TV in the bedroom wouldn't turn on. We thought we had tried everything, but we missed the fact that the cable had been disconnected from the TV. We all turned in for the night in hopes of a restful sleep after a long, hard day on the road. That hope was destroyed quickly, as the a/c made a loud continual clattering that intensified when the compressor came on. Oy vey!
