Positive: It's close to the lake (Lake Tekapo). About 3 min by car, you can walk too it's about 20 min. It's a cute retro house with partial lake view (mainly blocked by trees). The CD player had some nice old tunes for guests to play which adds to the retro mood! The kitchen has everything you need, we cooked two lovely but simple meals during our stay. Beds were clean and comfortable. There is heater in every room and heated blanket. I enjoyed our stay.

Negative: The listing on booking.com suggests there are two bathrooms, which is normal for a 3-bedroom home, but it only has 1 bathroom! That was quite a disappointment. Also the reception lady where I picked up the key did not tell us that there is a ping pong table and the laundry was downstairs. So we only discovered that it was there for us to use very late afternoon before out check-out date. So we didn't have a chance to use these facilities. I just feel she should have told us. The house was made of timber so at night the cracking sound were very loud and affected our sleep. Also the shower hot water pressure was very low.

Summary: Nice property, close to lake, will need a car. Good for family and friends;.
