My husband and I have run a suite on Airbnb for years but have recently moved and now have a new laneway house with private access and small balcony facing the north shore mountains and downtown, as well as a basement - both of which we decided to offer it on vrbo. The laneway house is 4 years old and everything is in fairly new condition. There's a private entry off the lane which is the 2nd house from the side street where you can park and easily access the laneway house. You can also park in front of the door to the lane house - only needing to move it the morning of garbage pick up. There's also laundry and everything you'd need for your stay - just as at home. It's best suited for a maximum of 4 people - either 2 couples, a couple with 1 or 2 children, or 2 singles travelling together who don't want to share a bed. The extra powder room on the main floor is a bonus - there's also a full bath on the 2nd floor between the 2 bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a queen bed and the other a double. We are also able to provide a pack n play for small children/babies, and baby/toddler toys (sanitized) if you're travelling with young children.
Douglas park is one of vancouvers most sought after areas of the city. We are about 4 blocks to the Canada line which runs from the airport to the waterfront station - our stop is west king Edward and Cambie. Travel time on the train from the airport is less than 20 mins and to downtown it's less than 10. The closest park is a block away and we are within walking distance to a grocery store and the shops and restaurants on Cambie street. Main Street is also within walking distance and it offers countless restaurants and pubs, in addition to unique and local shops which sell everything from custom paper to high end clothing and shoes.
