Perfect skiing loaction Spectacular Mountain View | House in Horopito

Our Bach is in close proximity to Ohakune (about 10 mins), National Park (about 15mins), and Raetihi (about 10 mins). Perfectly located in Horopito, halfway between Whakapapa and Turoa ski fields - great for your ideal winter break. It is only a 30 min drive to either ski field, once you know what the weather report is!!

Great location for accessing all year round activities such as skiing, tramping, cycling, horse riding, fishing and also many summer activities such as canoeing.

The Bach is well set up for up to 7 people. There are 2 double rooms both with queen beds which each have electric blankets on them. The third bedroom has 3 single beds, this being a set of bunks and a single bed. We also have a travel cot available. One bathroom has a shower over the bath. The other bathroom has a shower unit. There is a separate toilet. The open plan kitchen / dining and living room area offers an enjoyable living area. Kitchen is fully set up with a electric stove, toaster, jug, microwave, fridge, crock pot, sandwich maker, pots, pans, dishes and enough crockery and cutlery for guests and a few visitors!

The Kitchen has 6 seat table, with a stool and other chairs available. The lounge seats 7 with the warmth of a fire, TV, games and books for chilling out in the afternoon or relaxing evenings.

Each bed has a woolen blanket and pillows are also available.
Please bring your own linen, duvets/sleeping bags, towels, tea towels etc

This Bach is located just up from the world-renowned car wreckers which featured in the iconic kiwi 1980s film “Smash Palace”.

This is a quiet rural location, with great walks, mountain biking and amazing views of Ruapehu mountain. It is really handy for all activities around the Central Plateau.

Departure time before 10:00;
$200 deposit or one nights rent;
Smoking and pets allowed outside only;
Cleaning service can be arranged or guests must clean Bach before leaving the property otherwise cleaning fee will be taken off the deposit;
During Peak Season (June - Oct) bookings cannot break a weekend (i.e. Fri or Sat night only). This is because weekends are our most popular time.
Duvet's and blankets provided just bring your own sheets.

A cleaner can be arranged for your stay however this need to be confirmed at time of booking due to cleaner availability. If a cleaner is unable to carry out a clean the tenants will be refunded their cleaning fee and a self clean will need to be done by the group. NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels/toilet paper).
